Not the first post you will ever read about spam, and I am sure not the last. It seems spammers and phishers are coming at us from every direction nowadays. Oregon USA is one of many a states that is at the top my bucket list, but I am starting to wonder… What is the deal with the spam calls coming from Gresham Oregon? I have a strong feeling they are coming in through Google Voice! I have been getting these calls at my office, home, personal & work cellular phones. :(
Home phone, Time Warner Cable digital phone service, is excellent with nice packages. They grant you the ability to “selectively” block such numbers at will. Granted my blocked list is quite long, and sometimes I wonder if there is a limit on my all most beloved blocked numbers list?
It is unfortunate that we do not currently have the ability, not that I am aware of, to block such calls permanently at our at discretion and with most ease. I have, of course, heard of what others do, by creating a single contact in the address book with a nice name, and even silent ringtone, they just keep adding each spammer’s number to the same contact list of numbers. I have implement that method, I keep adding each received number.
Next time they call again, my phone’s caller ID display would quietly display “Spam Do Not Pick Up”.
